Works with Bulgaria's women's national team alongside Eftim Lefterov. The squad includes Sevda Asenova, Stoyka Petrova, Greta Georgieva and Svetlana Kamenova. Asenova later names him as her first coach.

Starts boxing in seventh grade under Iliya Syarov, studies at Ruse Sports School, competes for CSKA during military service and graduates from the National Sports Academy determined to become a coach.

FROM RUSE TO THE BIG STAGE
Developing medallists and professional fighters.
His boxers named in public sources include world silver medallist Pavel Syarov and European bronze medallists Huben Aleksiev, Serkan Ahmedov, Saygan Sabri and Nikolay Koev. Sevda Asenova identifies him as her first coach.
In professional boxing he works with Ruse fighters including Alexey Ribchev, Merdjidin Yuseinov, Asan Yuseinov and Yordan Vasilev. That coaching knowledge also underpins the family idea that became Alexeev Boxing in 2008.
