More than a record.
Boxing away from home means facing an opponent with the crowd behind them and expectations in their favour. Emilov has repeatedly challenged those expectations, earning wins and draws against unbeaten prospects in England and a draw in France. His story becomes clearer when you look at who he faced, where they fought and the results he achieved.
Vasko Alexeev has worked with Emilov since 2016. He describes him as fit, resilient and awkward to face: a fighter who prepares properly and arrives intending to win, whoever is in the other corner. This is the team’s view of his qualities; the results below follow the official record.

Emilov earned a draw away in France against an opponent with ten professional wins.
One of Emilov’s most notable results came against a former Southern Area super-welterweight champion. Richardson finished his career at 12–0–1. Angel was the only professional opponent he failed to beat.
Emilov outpointed Keenan over four rounds at Wembley Arena, ending his six-fight winning start. BoxRec records the win, and a Press Association photograph distributed by Getty Images captures the celebration. It remains a highlight of his time with Alexeev Boxing.
Emilov stopped unbeaten Thomas Jarvis away from home. The win came before his work with Alexeev Boxing began in 2016 and is included here as an achievement from his wider career.
These bouts ended in official defeats for Emilov. They are included because of the quality of the opponents and what those fighters went on to achieve.

Jack Rafferty
Emilov completed six rounds at Grand Central Hall. Rafferty later won Commonwealth and British super-lightweight titles. His record stood at 27–0–1 when checked on 10 September 2026: an opponent who remained unbeaten.
Emilov lost to the then-unbeaten Pauls in Plymouth. In July 2024, Pauls became British middleweight champion with a twelfth-round stoppage of Nathan Heaney.
Angel lost over six rounds at York Hall early in Eubank’s professional career. Eubank was unbeaten when they met; by the September 2026 review, his record stood at 22–2.
The team believes Angel’s performances have often deserved more recognition than his record suggests. Assessing a disputed decision, however, requires the scorecards, full footage and details of any knockdowns or deductions. This review could not reliably establish particular one- or two-point defeats, so no unverified scores are included. The results shown here remain the official decisions.

Angel Petkov × Felipe Maia
A majority-decision win over Brazil’s Felipe Maia: 49–45, 49–45 and 47–47 according to BKFC’s official report. Maia had previously knocked out Martin Stoichkov at BKFC 54.
A split-decision victory in the final preliminary bout. BKFC described an evenly matched, back-and-forth contest and stated that the judges’ scores were not read out.
